Their debut ”Dodovoodoo” received excellent international reviews upon it´s release in 2008 with top marks from Mojo, Uncut and The Word while AMG called it amazing. With ”Walk The Nile” they are not only delivering the goods again, but it´s a general improvment on all accounts. More concerts have made them an even tighter entity and the musicianship on display is simply dazzling. Sporting five originals from Ståle Storløkken and one from Nikolai Hængsle Eilertsen, the all analogue recording from Grand Sport Studios in Oslo gives it a gorgeous, organic late sixties, early seventees feel combining elements from rock, jazz, psychedelia, funk and prog. Simply fantastic stuff and highly recommended.
Elephant9 is Ståle Storløkken (Supersilent) on Hammond organ, Fender Rhodes and synths, Nikolai Hængsle Eilertsen (Big Bang) on bass and Torstein Lofthus (Shining) on drums.
Also available on white vinyl in gatefold sleeve and with free download.
