Fra Lippo Lippi: Songs (LP)
40th anniversary vinyl edition of a classic Norwegian album.
Originally released on their own label in 1985, "Songs" was soon picked up by Virgin UK and released in a slightly different edition the following year. A new track was included and guitar was added to three of the original tracks, all produced by Dave Allen (Depeche Mode, The Cure).
"Songs" is their third album and was a big step forward with focus on more catchy and structured songs, notably driven by acoustic piano and programmed drums, giving it a uniquely personal signature. It was named Norwegian album of the year in many polls.
This is the first re-pressing of the original edition since it was first released in 1985. It was recorded at ABBA´s Polar Studios in Stockholm and produced by Kaj Erixon.
